Adobe Photoshop/Resize pics

Question
Hello,

I have 200 pics that i need to resize to a lower resolution (from 400dpi to 150dpi). Is there a macro or an automatic funstion that i can use so that I don't have to open all 200 pics and do the same thing for all of the pics?

PS. I have Photoshop 6.0 and will upgrade to CS

Thx
J

Answer
yes, there is a very easy way you can do this!

1. make folder, this is where your 150 dpi pictures will go (ill explain in a minute)
2. (I think 6 does this, but i have cs2 so it might be a little differnt) open one of your pictures
3. go to window, actions
4. make a new action and name it something
5. press record.
6. do the steps you need to do to make it 150 dpi, including saving and closing.  put this on your desktop.
7. now that its closed, go to file, automate
8. action: default (or wherever you put your action)
9. the next bar, choose your action
10. (pulling from memory here) source: the folder from which your 400dpis are located.
11. destination: your new folder.
make sure the check mark is checked
12. press ok.
13. watch it magically do your work for you and DANCE!
note: sometimes there are goofs so watch it to make sure.  If it stops for some reason, hit stop for the first dialog box and hit continue for the next one.  What this will do is keep the troulbed picture open, so that you can go back and fix it, once the automation is done.  Since you're not doing anything special to it, you should have no problems.
14. delete the picture you put on your desktop (I asked you do this because had you had put into your folder, you would have had problems with automation.)
