Adobe Photoshop/Screen to print color matching problems

Question
I have an Epson Stylus Pro 4800 that is set up to print on T-Shirts. I have difficulty trying to print colors as they appear on the screen, especially when it comes to printing Photo Images. The RIP manufacturer tells me I need to make sure the images are properly "prepared" in PhotoShop CS before sending them to the printer. I am not sure what they mean. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Answer
1. make sure your in CMYK
2. Unless you have a top of the line lazer color printer, you won't get exactly what you have - what will make it close as can be is to make sure you are callbrated correctly and that your file is in CMYK
3. save the file as either a .pdf or a photoshop .eps.
4. before you do anything else STEP AWAY FROM THE COMPUTER AND CALL THE TSHIRT COMPANY. They all have different (and sometimes silly) requirements) they may want a vector image, they may want a .pdf...call them!!!!!
