QUESTION: Hi Kamal

You may remember that I was working with a friend to make
English lessons for Flash to be loaded into mobile phones. I do
the graphics and sound files and send them to a partner to load
into Flash.
I was wondering if you have ever come across any guidelines
or have any recommendations for loading sound files in Flash? I usually send him good quality, noise filtered mp3 voice files that are converted from wav files at 44100hz mono 160 kbps. But these are reduced to 24 kbps when loaded into Flash, 32 kbps seems to cause problems. I know this is is out of your expertise,
but if you have any comments at all, I'd like to hear them.

ANSWER: Hi Frank,
How about tweaking the settings of audio while exporting the flash file.
You can boost it upto 160kbps am sure.

QUESTION: Hi Kamal

I don't quite understand. The .swf file is the final finished
product and doesn't get exported anywhere. It gets saved.
I email my partner the mp3s that have been cleaned and
filtered in a sound editor, then he loads them in Flash.....

Hi Frank,
the .swf file doesn't just get saved, its exported. .fla is what is just saved. You can change the audio settings i mentioned earlier at file>publish settings.

When you give the audio file to your partner he must be using it in a flash file right? so he should change the settings before saving it into swf file.
