Is it possible to put text onto an open or closed path in Photoshop 7, I have followed a few tutorials but on placing the text tool icon over the path it never changes?

would you specifically tell me what is your requirement. i will answer your question.

I would like to create a curved path using the pen tool, once this has been created I wish to get the text to follow the curve. On selecting the text tool icon I am lead to believe that once I move it near to the path the text tool icon should change and that the text should follow the curve. Using Photoshop 7 on windowsXP the text tool icon doesn't change and the text doesn't not conform to the path. I have heard this can be done in Photoshop CS would I need to upgrade.

I think I have done it once, but you know when you do something after so long you forgot the way :).

What I do to when I have to write wrap text in Photoshop I write the text in Adobe Illustrator or Freehand, and copy paste it in Photoshop, this will also be a time saving thing for you.
