When I use the text tool, I have problems with it. The spacing with fonts is not correct, and all the letters appear in caps lock, but my caps lock is off.

My text also does not space vertical correct.

Hi Colin,

I need some more information:

1. What is this font's name? Where did you get it?

2. What platform are you using (i.e. Mac or PC), and what operating system?

3. How did you install this font, and where did you install it?

4. Have you ever used this font successfully?

5. Does it print like this, or does it just look like this onscreen?

6. Do you have trouble with any of your other fonts, or is it just this one?

7. What type of font is it? (i.e. Postscript, TrueType, OpenType)


Please try and provide as much of this info as you can, and hopefully I can help  you figure this out.

That said, I can tell you up front that sometimes fonts that are old (relatively speaking, in terms of the operating system you're using) can sometimes cause unexpected results, as do fonts that are available for free, on the internet. Font CDs that you can buy for little or nothing can also cause bad spacing.

Anyway, please post back with as much added info as you can and we'll go from there!
