Question
Clients logo that was on a background(blue image w/some gfx in it) now wants just the solid background behind where the text logo is to go.

The logo is at http://www.lazrweb.com/nassau/index.php
Tried a few things, but cannot get the text image completely transparent.
Please, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Answer
•   select a small area of the color you want to be removed (use Marquee, Lasso)

•   go to SELECT > SIMILAR (the layer should be the same you want to work on)

•   if the layer is background layer, double click it, to become editable

•   select layer mask (layer window 5th button from right)

•   Now you may see the reverse selection of what you want. If this is the case, press Ctrl+I from Keyboard to invert it.

•   You can make changes in layer mask any time for the better result. (black color, brush)

•   Save it for web (Ctrl+Alt+Shift+S),

Hope this will help, feel free to ask anything further
