Adobe Photoshop/Trouble opening jpeg files

Question
When I open a photo using photoshop, instead of opening up the actual image, it turns up a blank document?

What to do?

I'm working on a Windows XP Home edition using Photoshop 7.0

These are jpeg images, by the way. Some images open up but others don't, which is even more confusing. They're mostly images from my digital camera that I'd like to resize and edit before posting on the web...

Anyway, any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Answer
try few things,

1. Have you tried opening files in picture browser (ACDSEE, windows picture viewer)? Try to open the files in different software, i.e. Illustrator, Freehand, or any other software even in word too. If it is opening without any problem, means the files are ok, but problem with Photoshop, and if its not the case, means the files has problem.

2. Check the file size of the document sometimes couldn’t copy properly and have problem like this, if the size is less, it might not copied properly.

Try these solutions, and tell me if this solves your problem
