Hiya Candice,
Having a problem. I have merged some layers, however, after saving the work, i want to edit one of the layers which is a text layer. can I do this or do I have to start again.  Equally, is there a program I can import a background from photoshop to a better text editor program (I am trying to create a CV.)

hey there,

there's not much you can do about that type layer, but if you don't have a busy background its easier to get rid of the type and restart just the type you want to edit.

Just take your stamp tool or the magic wand tool to copy the background around it.

Indesign is a better text editor, I hate photoshop with text.
