Question
QUESTION: Hey. I've been creating a layout for my page and have tried to include hyperlinks to other websites, using ImageReady. I save my HTML file and open it in Dreamweaver to find the HTML code. I then copy and paste the HTML code into my page nothing happens!! Can you help me out?
Thanks, Matt.

ANSWER: Hi Matt,
one of the way to do this is to open the file from Dreamweaver, in Dreamweaver you will see option for code view, split view and design view. Click on split view icon and it will show the code on Top and your design at the bottom.
hope this work,

john

QUESTION: Hey John. Thank you for your answer. However, I can still not get the html image to show on my page! When I open it in dreamweaver I can clearly see my design at the bottom and the code at the top. I copy and paste the code into my page and the design appears on the page, not showing the design itself. Just showing it with the little white boxes with red crosses in. Do you know why? Thanks for your help!
Matt
ANSWER: Hi Matt,
once it shows on the bottom that all you need, you have to preview it on IE, if you look on the top bar there should be an icon like glob, roll over your mouse on it, it should say preview on browser, when you click it will preview on Internet Explorer.

QUESTION: I have done what you told me and it does preview on IE. And the link works fine! But it's just putting the design on my webpage. I don't know how to do it! I tried copying and pasting the whole of the html code from Dreamweaver but the design does not show up. the outlines of it does, but the images themselves do not. Little red crosses appear instead! Would you be able to help me insert my design onto my webpage? Thanks for all of your help John!
Matt
ANSWER: Hi Matt,
you dont have to copy anything, make sure all your images are in a folder where all your files are, if it does not work send me the file,

QUESTION: Hi John,
I don't really understand what you mean. What I wanted to do was create a link to another website. I did this  by using photoshop and imageready. I then saved, and opened in Dreamweaver. I clicked the 'split' button, where my image link appeared below and the html code on top. I can easily preview my design in IE and the link does work. Now what I am trying to do is insert this design link onto my MySpace profile. I must include a html code  to do this. When I insert the html code from Dreamweaver into my MySpace, the outlines of the design appear, but the image is has small white boxes with small red crosses in the middle. Do you understand what I mean?
Sorry for asking so much!
Thank you for your help :)
Matt

Answer
Hi,
on the property panel at the bottom there is a link icon that you need to type the web address you want it to link to http://www..........
that should link to the web site,
-if your images are not showing it means that the images did not load, you have to copy the original image from the source file not in dreamweaver.
regards,
john
