Adobe Photoshop/XMP files which wont transfer between folders

Question
#1
Nikon D2X, Photoshop CS2, Mac

Over the past couple of years I’ve always shot in RAW - made any changes that I needed to do and then done a batch conversion to Jpegs into a new folder. Today the changes which I’ve made to the Raw files have not been carried out when they have been converted to Jpegs.
The problem seems to be the fact the XMP (corrections) files now dont seem to be ‘attached’ to the original RAW file as they won’t change folders when you move it.
Moving a modified RAW photo one at the time - confirms this problem - the changes are not carried over into a new folder.

Have not added any new software/updates since it last worked perfectly..

Have reinstalled CS2 and latest photoshop RAW plugin and tried earlier photos which worked without a problem - but now they are also not keeping their corrections when moved into a different folder...

Any thoughts?

PS to make this even more weird my laptop now has the same problem....cud I somehow have infected it when it was transfering via Firewire ? or from the Memory cards from the camera?

Answer
eeegg.

I'm not sure.  If you're on a MAC, then you need talk to Adobe.  Photoshop and MAC do not get along right now, yay for intel.

if you're on a pc then i would update your computer and adobe stuff. You also might want to get new drives for the camera.

thats all i got, sorry
