Questionsir i have installed adobe photoshop 7 and it was working fine till yesterday.but today when i opened photoshop it automatically exits after loading brushes etc how to fix this problem
AnswerHi there --
I'll need a bit more information in order to figure out exactly what's wrong here. If you would, could you please tell me:
1. What kind of computer do you have, and how much memory (RAM) is installed? Also, what operating system are you using?
2. Have you installed any other applications lately? For instance, is it possible you've installed something prior to or just after your Photoshop install? This could be a software conflict you're describing. Please include anything you've recently installed, including shareware, for either PC or Mac.
3. Do you have this problem with any other applications?
4. Have you had any other problems with your computer lately?
If you can answer those questions for me, I'd really appreciate it.
For the time being, without knowing anything else about your computer, the thing I would suggest is completely uninstalling Photoshop, and then reinstalling it -- and then seeing if you still have the problem.
If you're a PC user, make sure to use the uninstall program included with the program CD, or the Add/Remove programs feature within your operating system -- don't just try to trash the application. If you're a Mac user, you can trash the application, but you'll want to make sure you delete the associated preferences as well (and you'll find those in your user library). After a successful uninstall, do a complete reinstall, and make sure you restart your machine afterwards.
If you need any help uninstalling, please post back as soon as you can and let me know what kind of computer you have, and the operating system you're running, and I'll walk you through it.
If you're OK doing the uninstall, I'd go ahead with it, and also the reinstall. If the problem goes away, great! But if it doesn't, and you continue to have the problem you described to me, please post back with that additional info.
Hope to hear from you soon,
Lisa
