Question
i have an uncolored sketch of a man. i need to take this to flash to animate. before i do that i want to break it up into parts like face, arms eyes and save them as seperate gif's. how can i do it? can you please help me with this.

Answer
there are two ways to do it.

One way is the slicing tool.  This is the best way and to do it and to be honest, I don't know how to use it. However, there are good tuturials on the internet that can tell you.

The other way, my sad slow way, is to just take a pen tool, or the the lasso tool and make outlines around the pieces you want.  So with the arm, you would lasso the arm, open a new document and set it to 72 dpi, rgb... then move the arm over.  Then save as a .gif.
