Adobe Photoshop/composite templates

Question
My question is, how can I make composite templates so that I can drag and drop images into the 'shapes'? I want to design half a dozen different layouts. Then I don't have to 're-invent' the wheel every time I want to make a composite image! Just drag the images into whichever layout.

Does that make sense?

Thanks

Answer
The lazy way to do it, my way, is to just make the template document and save it as something.  Then place the items in that document and save it as something else.

You can also make an action.

1. make a new action (looks like the layer button - this can be found under actions in window)
2. it will start recording.  Make your template.  when you are done, press the stop button.
3. make a new document and test it.  You now have your action saved.

There really isn't a way to make a template in photoshop - not like you can indesign anyway.  Photoshop is not a layout program and I strongly suggest that if you have the option, make the template and work in Indesign.  It's a lot easier to work with.
