Adobe Photoshop/image quality

Question
Hi Candice,

I have photoshop 7 and have just bought an epsom r800 printer to produce images from my digital camera. while i can manipulate the images to look perfect on screen, when i come to print on 6 by 4 or A4 prints the images are often very pixalated and the colours are blotchy and sometimes dull.

I have tried looking into the help menus for the correct settings both on the printer and in photoshop but still am none the wiser as to which to use. what profile, source space, colour management etc.

I would be grateful if you could offer any advice on the matter.

Thanks for your time

Dan

Answer
hi Dan,

is it in 300 dpi?
did you enlarge it?
is your printer set to print the best it can? (or not on draft :) )

if you said yes to the 1st and 3rd question and no to the 2nd
then send the file to design2513@gmail.com and I shall look at it ;)
