Hi Hafeez,

I have to be honest and tell you I know NOTHING about Urdu InPage, nothing at all. I've never even heard of it, so I'm not sure I can help you.

I could also use more information on how you're planning to use this text -- will it be used as a headline, or are you talking about a whole printed page, or pages?

It would help me a lot to know exactly what you plan to end up with -- that is, a Web page, a printed document, etc. It would also help to know what platform you're using (PC, Mac, etc.).

So if you can, please post back and let me know these things.

In the meantime, I did look up Urdu InPage on the internet and I see that you can save the files as graphics. The file format you save the text in will depend on how you're going to use the text.

-- If you're planning on using this text on the internet, on a Web site (maybe in the form of a banner or headline), you need to save it as a GIF. If it's possible to do that with Urdu InPage, do that -- then you can place it or open it in CorelDraw, and do whatever you need to do with it there.

After you edit the text in CorelDraw, save it as a GIF -- and then when you open Photoshop, either use the Open command (found under Photoshop's File pulldown menu), or the Place command (also found under the File pulldown menu).

-- If you're planning on using the text in a printed document, you should save it as a TIFF file. Same rules apply: Save it as a TIFF in Urdu InPage (if that's possible), then keep its format as TIFF in CorelDraw and also Photoshop.

I'm sorry if this doesn't help you. But I'm just not at all familiar with Urdu InPage, so I can't advise you from that standpoint.

If you like, please post back with the added information on the job you're doing and I'll do my best to help you.

I'm more than happy to help you if I can get a better understanding of what you're doing.

Thanks,

Lisa

Answer
Hi Hafeez,

I think you reposted the same question you asked me a few days ago.

As I said, I know NOTHING about Urdu InPage at all and I'm afraid I can't help you here. So please read over the answer I  posted before, and see if any of that helps you.

What I posted was a general idea of how to create and save a graphic for CorelDraw and Photoshop.

This is the link for Axis Software, the people who make Urdu InPage. They can help you much better than I can.

I'm sorry I can't help! But hopefully the link to Axis, along with the general information I posted the other day, will give you some assistance.

Thanks,

Lisa

Expertise

I've used Photoshop since the release of version 2. I taught college commercial art and graphic design for 10 years, and within that realm, taught Photoshop at every level, and with each successive product upgrade. My experience with Photoshop is thus extensive and well-rounded, from photo retouching to color adjustment to incorporating Photoshop and ImageReady into Web design. I am primarily a Mac user (since 1985), but am also PC-savvy.

Experience

I've been a graphic designer for 22 years, was a national magazine art director, a designer for the Department of Defense, a college art instructor, and have my own freelance Web and graphic design business, LittleWorks (www.little-works.com). I've also worked for several printing companies, in both prepress and art.
