Question
Hello Lizal

Thank you very much for spending time to answer these questions ..

I would like to know what is the best preparation for any design to be printed .. is there any specific size or format .. I am using photoshop CS .. and I would like to print some invitations designed by photoshop for maximum clearance & resolution

Answer
Hi Tulip,
hope you don't mind me answering this questions which is for Lizal ;)

Ok here are the checklists:
1) Before starting to design, you need to know how the invitations are being printed - offset printing or laser printing. Because you have to decide whether to work on CMYK mode or RGB mode.
2) Make sure the resolution of your file is 300dpi (set this before you start designing)
3) Be aware of the bleed. (leave about 4mm on all four sides for safe area, if the cards are being cut.)
4) Always provide with pdf or tiff format when giving the file to the printer.
5) (*optional) If there's too much text in the design, its recommended to use illustrator for text input, (and import the background from photoshop)
