Question
I have Adobe Photoshop Album 2.0
I need to know how to resize pictures. Not crop, but resize. I know I've done it on there once before but now I just can't remember how I did it :P I have 8 pictures and idealy I would like them to be like thumbnail size if possible. I hope you can help me. Thanks!

Answer
Hi -- I have to be perfectly honest and tell you I don't have Photoshop Album, so I don't use it, and I don't know the answer to your question.

However, I will refer you to some resources where you can hopefully get your question answered!

1. This is a pure guess, but in Photoshop proper (as in versions 6, 7, CS), images are resized by selecting the Image pulldown menu, then selecting the Image Size submenu and editing the dimensions in that dialog box. I'm not sure if that's available in Album.

2. Adobe has a support section for Album:
http://www.adobe.com/support/products/photoshopalbum.html

They also have a user forum, and you can find that link on the lower left part of the page. What's frustrating is, someone wrote in with your exact question, but they didn't receive an answer.

3. This is a PC magazine review for Album, and maybe it will shed some light on where you can resize your images.

As I said, I don't use this program so I can't give you an educated answer, and I'm sorry. But having used Photoshop itself for so many years, in conjunction with other programs, I'm wondering if you need to resize your images in Photoshop (or a similar image editor), and then import them into Album.

Photoshop has a Web album capability, and this is what I've always done when I've used that.

Hope this helps some --

Lisa

Expertise

I've used Photoshop since the release of version 2. I taught college commercial art and graphic design for 10 years, and within that realm, taught Photoshop at every level, and with each successive product upgrade. My experience with Photoshop is thus extensive and well-rounded, from photo retouching to color adjustment to incorporating Photoshop and ImageReady into Web design. I am primarily a Mac user (since 1985), but am also PC-savvy.

Experience

I've been a graphic designer for 22 years, was a national magazine art director, a designer for the Department of Defense, a college art instructor, and have my own freelance Web and graphic design business, LittleWorks (www.little-works.com). I've also worked for several printing companies, in both prepress and art.

Awards and Honors
PICA award (Printing Industry of the Carolinas Award for the design of a media kit that accompanied a magazine I was art directing at the time)
