Question
I'm trying to creat a simple DVD insert with type.  The type is blury and slightly
pixelated around the edges.  Any suggestions?  Thank you..

Answer
Hi Anthony. If you are creating a print document, you should be able to set the antialiasing type option for Photoshop (CS and later) to None. Check the help files for details on this.

However, this may not get you what you need. Photoshop is not really designed to present text well, so will always have some challenges. The reason is that type is a vector format (mathematical description of the shape), while Photoshop prints in raster (mapped pixels).

If you have Illustrator, your best option is to create your artwork in Photoshop, then import to Illustrator for creating text. InDesign also works well. Barring that, you should try different backgrounds under your text to minimize the effect, or consider bringing your artwork into an application like Word or WordPerfect.

I hope this helps. If you have additional questions, please let me know!
