Question
i've had ulead photo express3 for a couple of years now and i've just started having problems with it, so i decided to uninstall it and go to photo shop. when i tried to uninstall photo express this message came up "uninst.inu'is not valid or the data has been corrupted uninstallation will not continue" it will not let me uninstall this program. can you help?

Answer
Hi Joyce,

I don't use Ulead, so I'm afraid I won't be of much help here. But I did a little research, and on the Ulead Web site I found some FAQs that might shed some light.
http://www.ulead.com/tech/faq/trial_faq.htm

I realize you're not using the trial version, but you might try what they suggest, anyway.

As a sort of preventive measure, to make sure nothing is going wrong with anything else on your computer that would be preventing your uninstall, you might also run a defrag tool on it -- and then try the uninstall again.

If all else fails, contact the people at Ulead and get their advice.

Hope this helps,

Lisa

Expertise

I've used Photoshop since the release of version 2. I taught college commercial art and graphic design for 10 years, and within that realm, taught Photoshop at every level, and with each successive product upgrade. My experience with Photoshop is thus extensive and well-rounded, from photo retouching to color adjustment to incorporating Photoshop and ImageReady into Web design. I am primarily a Mac user (since 1985), but am also PC-savvy.

Experience

I've been a graphic designer for 22 years, was a national magazine art director, a designer for the Department of Defense, a college art instructor, and have my own freelance Web and graphic design business, LittleWorks (www.little-works.com). I've also worked for several printing companies, in both prepress and art.

Awards and Honors
PICA award (Printing Industry of the Carolinas Award for the design of a media kit that accompanied a magazine I was art directing at the time)
