Question
Hi
I have a big problem in working photoshop7.ME , and that the computer is too slow! it s really terribly annoying, the computer's got 256 Mb of RAM and 2.4 GHz for CPU.
its ok but I dont know how can I design properly and faster.
my question is this: is
can I make any changes in setting of photoshop or windows so the situation becomes better? for example change temporary folders or something else in photoshop?
I design in 1 * 1.5 Meter size with 300 p/inches of dpi.
i wonder if you,d mind helping me.

Answer
Hi Go to Edit>Preferences (ctl+k) and then select Memory & Image Cache (ctrl+8). Change "Maximum Used by Photoshop" to may be 70% (For this to work properly make sure you don't start any other applications while working on photoshop), Next select "Plug-Ins & Scratch Disks" under "Scratch Disks" for First select the drive that has the maximum space available.

This should push the performance of Photoshop at the available resources.
