Question Hello ! i am Sylvia ,20 years old.i there any way that i can get adopted by a good parents? i want to be loved ,that's all. please help me.
Answer Hi Sylvia, thank you for writing. At age 20, the law views you, for all intents and purposes, as an adult. But that's not to say there aren't resources for you to talk with/be counseled by caring adults in your community.
The first place I'd go is to one of your local churches or synagogues. You'd be surprised how helpful your own religious community can be in helping you find a way. You could also check with your local city or county social services. And if you're in college, you could also check in with services right there on campus.
Make a few calls, stop by a few places. My guess is you'll find the right people at the right time to give you a needed assist through this rough patch.
