About Colleen
Expertise
I can answer questions about the adoption process. I don't handle questions about searches for adoptive parents.

Experience
I have three adopted children. The two youngest were adopted as infants. In both cases, we dealt with the birthmother during her pregnancy and a bit afterwards. Our children are now old enough to begin asking questions and we are dealing with those issues.

Subject: Resinding Parental Termination

Question
How would a person go about rescinding parental termination if it is within the first 48 hours of signing the original paperwork? Is it just a matter of paperwork?

Answer
I'm not really sure what you are asking me.  If you are saying that you signed papers to terminate your parental rights, and now you've changed your mind, you would  need to contact whoever has the paperwork (social worker, attorney, etc.), and let them know you have changed your mind.  It really depends on what it was you signed as to whether or not you can rescind the termination.

If this is not what you meant, and want to ask for additional information, you may ask a follow-up question.
