Question Hello, My mother wants to adopt a 4 year old child. My sister is also 4. I am alot older than my sister though. My mom doesnt want to adopt a child from another country because she cant leave my little sister, she also doesnt have money right now so she cant do that. She is married and she has just two kids me and my sister but she wants to adopt another little girl. She has money for another kid but she just couldnt handle leaving my sister. Our family is very close. Do you know any websites or anything of where we can find children who need adopted.
Answer It is possible to adopt a child in that age range but almost everyone I know that is specific on which child they wish to adopt wants a girl so it could be a long wait. Also the child is most likely goint to come from foster care meaning that the child has some special needs and ongoing need for counseling etc. Also many waiting to adopt parents wish to adopt that age range as well.
