Question I just learned that I was adopted in 1952. Since I now have children and grandchildren...I would like to find out about my birth parents for medical history information but I don't have a clue how to go about it. Can you advise me as to where to start?
Answer I am an adoptive mom, but I would recommend finding out where and whom you were adopted thru? Agency? Lawyer? Doctor assisted? If your adoptive family has any information that can be very important. Depending on the state you were born in and adopted in you may be able to request non identifying information thru the state. Best wishes
Terrie
