About IDA HUTCHERSON
Expertise
What are my options? How do I deal with an uncooperative birth father? What rights do the birth parents have? What is involved in an open adoption? How will I live with my decision afterward? How do I find the right adoptive family? What would Jesus want me to do when I find myself in a crisis pregnancy?

Experience
Placed a child for open adoption in 2001 and it was the best thing I've ever done. I could have used someone like me to talk to. My approach to unplanned pregnancy is Christ-based and I would love to help those in need.

Organizations
I am a speaker for Bethany Christian Adoption Agency and an advocate for adoption rights, etc.

Answer
i am doing a research project on adoption for my english class and hope you could answer some questins. thank you for your time.
1.how hard was it for you to give your child up for adoption?  If I wasn't a Christian it would have been insurmountable.
2. why did you give them up and was it the best decision?  I had to place him due to finances and now wanting the birth father involved.  There was a lot involved.
3. did you have any help makeing your decision and who?  My family and the Lord helped me through it.  And knowing the adoptive parents made it my mission to do this for them.
4.do you believe adoption is the best alternative to a bad enviroment or abortion?  Absolutely!
5.do you have any regrets about your descion?  None.
6. do you want your child to search for you or will you search for them?  I get to see my son at least twice a year as it was an open adoption.
7. Waht type of adoption do you think is best?  Open.
8. who's rights do you think is most important to protect the child's or the birth parents?  Always the child's.
thanks
