Question
If I wanted to start a website with adult dvd content and charge a monthly fee like many others have done before, do I need a license to do it? Can I host any dvd scene or am I restricted to certain companies?

I am located in New Jersey and London, I don't know if that makes a difference?

You do not need a license to operate the sight. However, you will DEFIANTLY need to get permission/rights/license from who ever happens to own the copyrights on the DVDs you will be using for your content.

You simply cannot go out and purchase a bunch of DVDs, and use them as web content and offer them for downloading….that is copyright infringement and piracy. Both of which are serious crimes under U.S. Federal and International Law. As a producer I can assure you such things are always prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law by the owners of the material.
