I live in Washington. I just wanted to do a double-check on a past answer of your's. Is it illegal to shoot an amateur porn video outside the state of California? I see local ads on the web all the time for my state, and wanted to place an ad myself and film it in a hotel room, but wasn't sure if I could based on this law: RCW 9.68.140, or any others. Please help.

This is based on a legal technicality (California v. Freeman). So it is ILLEGAL to shoot anywhere outside of Cali. Do people do it......hell yeah. ( www.sanpornandovalley.com ) So it is one of those almost catch-22 type events. I have been grilled about this before unfortunately even companies that are "by the book" LA companies really don’t follow the letter of the law. Here are a few examples of miscellaneous legal breaches…….

During AVN’s AEE/AVN Awards/Internext (Vegas)…etc. They do shoot all sorts of content during this time period. (Winter)

During the “Tampa Show” (AKA, NightMoves Magazine Awards Show) held in Tampa, FL. They shoot once again all sorts of content (Fall)

During AVN’s Internext (Florida) they shoot adult content on a regular basis there as well. (Summer)


So is it really done………YES………is it technically LEGAL……NO……
