Hi Jim

I hope you don't mind me asking a question.
I have just started out in the industry, in fact have my first video shoot today and another Saturday. My manager and I both think the U.S.. is the place to be though and as he has up until now only operated in the commercial/fashion field and only in Europe we need some pointers as to how to get into the U.S. market. At the moment we are approaching the large sites FTV, ALS, DD etc but I really want to get into films.

I am planning on coming to the U.S. next year anyway but need contacts so i can try and arrange work for when I am over there. Can you give any advice? I am working up to hardcore GG at the moment but want to do BG work too Will I need a work permit or something too ?

Because of U.S. Laws, the the first thing a foreign national would need to do in order to be able to work in the U.S. Adult Industry would be to legally enter the U.S. and obtain a Permanent Resident Card (also called a green card) or a temporary U.S. Work visa.

One you have accomplished that, I would also suggest contact a reputable Adult Talent Agencies and speaking to them about your interest in the Adult Entertainment Industry. I recommend you start with these:

These are reputable Agencies and their websites have all the information necessary to put you in contact with a representative. These Agencies only work with equally reputable Production companies thus greatly increasing your chances of success. If this is something you are serious about, get yourself signed with an Agency and let them get you started on the right track.

For your own safety I would also STRONGLY advise you to avoid placing and/or answering ads on sites like xpeeps.com, craigslist.com and backpage.com looking for work. These, and many similar, sites are common playgrounds for all manner of predator and are honestly never used by legitimate Adult Industry Professionals to any real extent.
