1) I reside in the UK but how can i get my DVD's out there and available for sale to the general public. Is this something i am better off doing on my own through a web site, through retail stores or through online retailers such as blissbox and adultdvdempire? What would the process be for getting the ball rolling, who would i approach etc?
2) Are there any legal requirements pertaining to making my product publicly available, if so are there any exceptions/loopholes. For example do the same rules that apply to a DVD available from a store apply to a DVD available from a virtual, online store?
Your help is appreciated, thank you.
Answer Ben,
1. Are you talking about distribution in the US or UK? I am familiar with some good distributors for both. Doing it yourself can be difficult unless you have an excellent marketing and promotion program that can drive traffic to your site(s). If you'd like info on distributors, feel free to contact me through my website at www.adultwebsitelawyer.com.
2. I cannot speak to laws in the UK (although I can refer you to UK lawyers that can help). If you're concerned with the US market, you would typically not be subject to most US laws if you are a UK resident using UK models and talent.
