Adult Film/First Real Porn Shoot
Expert: Jim Boyd - 2/3/2008
QuestionAfter shooting a still photo shoot with The Score Group in Florida for Naughty Neighbors, Leg Sex and 18eighteen magazines, I decided that I wanted to get into the video area of things. I am now listed on Lori Lust's agency website and I am going to do my first "real porn shoot" around February 28th. I am listed as "new to the adult industry" and "never shot before". My question is: How much do producers expect from a newbie doing her very first movie? Are they generally patient? I did one solo video before with The Score Group and although they were nice and patient, they did not provide very much direction. Yes, it is a solo video and it is only yourself, but being new to it, I asked for direction and received none. My biggest fear is getting to the shoot (and although I am comfortable in front of a camera)not recveiving an explanation of what is to be expected/conveyed in the shot. As an experienced producer, do you have any advice for me when going to my very first b/g shoot? (sorry, should of made this question a bit shorter, too much coffee this morning)
AnswerHi Cece,
I took the liberty of looking at your portfolio on Lori’s Agency site. You are an amazingly attractive young woman and I believe that you are going to excel greatly in this Industry. Anytime you want to shoot a couple of scenes for me...just say the word. What can I say?...I’m a sucker for a beautiful girl with big brown eyes.
Unfortunately, you will occasionally encounter a producer that is an absolute jerk….but as a general rule most producers will normally show a tremendous amount of patience...especially with “first time” performers. Most will understand your nervousness and do everything they can to make you feel comfortable and help you get through the shoot.
You will receive much more direction in “real porn” shoots as opposed to solo work, because these scenes are much more complex to shoot. No matter what the experience level of the performer happens to be, shooting good porn is tough and requires patience from everyone involved...including you.
The best advice I can give you…
Show up on time ready to work. Then just try to relax and focus on enjoying yourself as much as possible. If you screw up...don’t let it rattle you...it happens to everyone no matter how experienced they are. Keep in mind that shooting a sex scene can take quite some time as there are about a million little things than can cause delays and interruptions, so patience on your part will also be required.
Most of all...if it feels good, let everyone in the place know it feels good! Don’t hold back...when you cum...cum hard and loud. Forget about the people in the room around you and enjoy the sex....tell your partner they are about to make you cum...let them know what you like and how you like it...tell them you want it harder or deeper...just like you would a boyfriend/lover at home.
You have a great body, a beautiful face, and I expect we will see great things from you in the future. Feel free to email me directly if you have any more questions.
