Question
hi
I tried to apply to do some text/phone sex and was offered to do some porn and wanted your opinion.  This is not something I want to make a career of, but would rather like to do for awhile to help me get on my feet.  My only concern is being put on the internet.  I am a mother and do not want this to ever be seen by fellow friends or what have you. I was told by this guy who is the director and producer that if I do not want to be on the web he wont put me on it, but will instead be given to a private collector.  He claims that he cant legally put me on the web without my permission and I told him if I am I will definitly take legal action.  Is this a scam? Is it possible for me to do this without getting screwed?....pardon the pun...

thanks

Answer
Yes it’s probably a scam…in fact I would bet my reputation on it. Once you sign a model release…he can do anything he wants with the footage….including posting it on the internet. Unfortunately, claiming the footage will be given only to “private collector” guarantees nothing, because who is to say that the “collector” won’t post them on a site himself in the future?

My advice to you…and any other woman in this position is this:

If you are troubled by the thought of family, friends, or business associates ever seeing you in any type of Adult Production….DON’T EVEN THINK ABOUT DOING IT…just forget it now. Digital video and photographs are VERY PERMANENTE and those images will exist in one form or another for decades to come. It is quite possible that someone you know (or will know in the future) will eventually see them and that it could have detrimental effects on your life.

Case in point…..Tericka Dye. A 33 year old High School Science Teacher and volleyball coach who was very popular and well thought of by her students. Today her teaching career is over, and her life a complete mess because someone recognized as a performer in an  Adult Film she appeared in 13 years ago using the name Rikki Anderson. Consequently…it was the one and ONLY film she ever worked in..

If you are really that worried….just don’t do it at all.
