Question
Hi Jim,
I'm curious  as to the differences between the companies that operate legally in Cali. and those that operate illegally in other parts of the country. In particular with things like contracts. Obviously, those that operate legally in California can have a full contract listing everything expected of the talent, and everything (including payment) that the production company gives in return right? But it is the payment that is part of what makes it illegal in other states, so what do those producers do? surely they cannot simply not have contracts?
cheers mate,
-Blair

Answer
Hello again Blair,

They do indeed have contracts. However, in reality, those contracts are NOT legally binding as neither party can enter into a legally binding contract to conduct any activity that is clearly ILLEGAL in a particular jurisdiction.

The only real purpose of the worthless contracts used by these guys is to create an illusion of legitimacy for those who simply do not know such activities are illegal in those states...specifically young females with dreams of Adult Stardom.
