Subject: filming porn in GA.

Question
I read where you wrote, "there are no agencies in GA."
Why is that? What are the laws in Georgia? If I wanted to start a porn film business in Georgia, is it illegal?
Any info is appreciated.
Thanks

Answer
I don't believe I ever wrote that there are no agencies in GA - there may be, but I'm not familiar with any.

The only state in the country in which it is affirmatively legal to produce pornography is California.  In every other state, you run the risk of charges of obscenity, pandering, solicitation of prostitution, and others.

This is not to say that you can't start an adult film business in Georgia, but you would need to carefully abide by the laws I identify above to minimize your risk of prostitution.  There is no guarantee that you won't violate these laws if you do film, however.  It's extremely important to have a qualified lawyer guide you through the process to give you the best chances of staying legal.
