Question
I have recently received a phone call from IT Models based in California and they want me to fly out there and stay for a month to start working with them.  Everything sounds good and I really want to do it, I was just wondering if you've ever heard of IT Models, or worked with them?  They say they cover all expenses for your first time out there, plane ticket, meals, housing, transportation, hair and nails..is this normal?  Thanks for your time!

Answer
Hi Tiffani,

Unfortunately, No....I have never worked with, or even heard, of IT Models nor am I able to locate any information for them at all. I would suggest you be very suspicious of this arrangement as it is VERY unusual that an Agency would even have need too make such a grandiose offer.

In reality most business between Agency and Model is conducted via email and telephone and seldom requires more than an initial weekend meeting to get you started. I have never heard of any Agency that requires a month long stay in order to work with them.

If you are truly interested in getting started in this business, I would suggest you start by contacting these well known and highly reputable Agencies:

http://www.alisttalent.com
http://www.adulttalentmanagers.com
http://www.goldstarmodeling.com
http://www.lisaannstalentmanagement.com
http://www.type9models.com
http://www.worldmodeling.com

These are VERY reputable and establish Agencies and each of these company websites has all the information necessary to put you in contact with a representative. These Agencies only work with equally reputable Production companies thus greatly increasing your chances of success. If this is something you are serious about, get yourself signed with an Agency and let them get you started on the right track.

For your own safety I would also STRONGLY advise you to avoid placing and/or answering ads on sites like xpeeps.com, craigslist.com and backpage.com looking for work. These, and many similar, sites are common playgrounds for all manor of predator and are honestly never used by legitimate Adult Industry Professionals to any real extent.

You may also feel free to email me directly and include some Photos. I will be happy to consider you for one of our projects planned for this year.

Good Luck
Jim Boyd
