Question
Good Day,

I am a film graduate who is not faring well financially and would like to film some adult clips for sale to an Internet site.

I understand I will be signing a release to the site owners.  My question is would a contract with my partner be wise, disallowing him from showing, selling, or in any way allowing footage filmed together to fall into anyone else's hands without my written consent. That is, he is also responsible for the care of such footage.

Can you tell me if such a contract would have value and if so, any essentials to include?

Much Appreciation,
Annette

P.S. Obviously, an entertainment lawyer would be the ideal way to go however none are available in my area and finances do not permit.

Answer
Yes a contract is an absolute must. So an entertainment lawyer would be your best route. As far as you ruling them out because of capitol expenses and your current location....those rules do not apply. First you must have money to make money.....and if you have nothing in place to protect your investment then you could quite und up losing more money then you had initially thought at the beginning....next....in an age of email and the internet....you can consult an attorney online...any type of lawyer...so you cant use those crutches in your question.
