I am wanting to start an adult dvd store online and I would like to find out what states is it legal to have one? I live in the state of Texas.

Operating a website that sells Adult DVDs would be legal in all States providing:

1: The content of the DVD is not in violation any local (City or State) obscenity Laws in the area where the operation is based.

2: You obtain the proper permits/licensing and State/Federal Tax numbers required to legally operate such a business in your area.

3: The content of the DVDs MUST be in compliance with U.S. Federal Law, specifically USC Title 18 Section 2257 and CFR Title 28 Part 75.

4: You obtain the legal right/permission to distribute said DVDs from the creators or other party who can legally grant you those rights.
