Question
QUESTION: Hello:

Is it legal to download adult images (pictures) and send them to an e-mail account for viewing and storage? I know that the girls must be 18 years or older.

I thank you for your reply.

ANSWER: It depends upon your jurisdiction, and whether the images constitute obscene material or child pornography.

QUESTION: Hello:

How does one know whether or not it constitute obscene material or how it regards my jurisdiction? I know the images are not of children.

I thank you for your follow-up reply.

Answer
The question of whether material is obscene or not is constantly litigated, and there is no simple answer.  You can get a good idea of how your particular state defines obscenity by looking here:  http://www.moralityinmedia.org/nolc/index.htm?statutesIndex.htm.
