Question
Dear Sir,
I plan to start producing amateur POV-style adult content with a small crew of people, - just 3-4 persons who will act and also shoot material.
No particular lighting & decorations, non-model types of guys with average size, but always cute and beautiful female models.
The genre is facials, cumshots and bukkake. (kinda like British bukkaketrinity.com, rachelthecumqueen.com).
It's illegal to produce and sell such content in my country, but I plan to market it through partners who live and work where it's legal.
I plan the content to be Photos and unedited avi movies to be marketed to websites or content brokers.

My first question is -
What contracts exactly do I need to do everything right?
Do I need to scan or photograph models' or other crew members' passports (or other documents with their photo),
or do I just need signed agreements from them, stating that they are over 18
and that they waive the rights to me/other company that I plan to sell content to?

And the second is -
Can you tell the general prices on the market nowadays?
I read your answers on Q like this before, but with this more detailed info from me, can you give more detaled answer?

How do they pay for photos - per pic, per set, else?
How do they pay for movies? Can I sell unedited stuff, or is it a must to edit everything and market the ready-made product?

I have money to invest but I have no info about the prices so I don't even know how much to invest to keep even model flat fees reasonable against possible future profit.
I didn't start yet because i want to get all bases covered since the beginning.

Pics I plan to produce are JPEG 3872x2592 or 2896x1944

video is going to be DV-AVI 720x576x24 (a Sony DV Handycams)
(if I know the approximate prices I can opt for a better cameras)

Thank You very much.

Answer
If it is illegal to produce this content in your country, then presumably any contracts you have with your talent would be unenforceable on their face, and useless.  Without knowing what country in which you reside, I have no idea what the penalties or ramifications of attempting to produce adult content there would be.

I don't know what prices you are referring to - if you are talking about sales of your content, it can vary greatly depending on quality, whether it's exclusive or non-exclusive, and of course, the type of content itself.  Niche content is more valuable than common content that can be found anywhere.

Usually pictures are sold in sets, but depending upon the content, I've seen individual pics fro sale as well.

I'd recommend viewing the discussion boards on websites like xbiz.com, where you can find people selling their content, and you can get an idea of what the market will bear for your content.
