Question
I have asked before and followed the advice giving which with any good adventure led to more things to ponder.
1. I refuse to send photos to anyone who cannot prove they are a legit agent or producer ( IE, website, exist on the net somewhere, provide references etc) I am not asking much just from a safety standpoint would like some proof they are not dangerous. I am thinking this is a no brainer but the responses I am met with are often rude. Ranging from we cannot even talk to you before we see full nude photos too why do you need proof ( asked nastily)? I am thinking those awsners answer my question but is this standard or am I being too careful?
2. Are any companies legitimately representing BBW's? I have emailed and filled out close to 75 resumes, model inquiry forms etc. And so far I have found exactly 0 companies who represent or admit to representing BBW. There are hundreds of sites that feature them though so I am somewhat confused.
3 Etiquette: IN normal job searches you would expect some sort of a response even if it is no we are not hiring your type right now or something like that. I have received maybe 3 responses at all ( once I weeded out the we wont talk until we see nudes pile)
Also is there any forum for people looking for adult work?
thanks,
Robin

Answer
Hi Robin,

No…you are definitely NOT being too careful. In fact, I feel you should be quite pleased with yourself for your inquires into your prospective employers. There is absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to be sure the people you are dealing with are legit however, you should try to do your home work on these companies/individuals BEFORE you contact them. Keep in mind that you are approaching them looking for work; therefore (in their minds) you should already know what you are getting yourself into.

It is a common practice for Producers and/or Agencies to ask for pictures of prospective performers. To these people (including myself) you represent a “marketable product” and as such we need to know up front that you are, in fact, marketable. This is after all a business that is based on sex so the appearance, personality and marketability of the performer is of the up most importance. The sooner they see your pictures, the better your chances.

As for Agencies, to my knowledge there are none that “specialize” in BBWs but most represent a diverse selection of performers. I would suggest you try:

PLEASE understand that you should never compare job hunting in the Adult Industry to that of a “normal” job search. The Adult business has a very unique dynamic that sets it apart from anything considered “normal” They are simply two totally different worlds with different rules and expectations.

Good Luck
Jim Boyd
