Question
Hi Jim-

Thanks so much for taking the time to read this.  I am a capable and experienced filmmaker with alot of my own
equipment, and I am trying to figure out how I can break into adult film production or post production.  Ideally, I want to
get an entry level position in a company and go from there, but I am having a very difficult time finding any arena to even
apply-  I've beaten craigslist to death.

I'd be willing to work a few sets for free to prove my abilities, but how can I connect with the right people?  I live in the
right part of the country, mere miles from all of the big companies, but I feel that I might as well be in the midwest
somewhere. I'm sure alot of people want jobs like this for the perceived "perks" that go along with it- however,  how can
someone like myself with a very useful and diverse production skill set ranging from the technical to the logistical standout
of the crowd and get a good break?  What advice could you give me?  Again thanks alot~

Answer
Unfortunately, there are just too many people applying for the very few production jobs currently available. Last year alone I received 500 resumes, but only had 2 job openings.

With the production experience you have, your best bet would be to finance your own website and shoot your own content for a year or so to establish yourself. Large companies look closer at applicants who actually have experience with shooting Adult Material...especially if it’s high quality work. You simply have to get our attention and stand out.

For the record...no self respecting Producer will ever use sites like craigslist to find production people or performers.
