Question
Is there any laws I should know about concerning filming in public? I'm talking about interviews or stuff like that, no nudity or sex. Thanks!

Local, state, and national laws typically affect your ability to film in public, so your particular filming location matters.
It is generally legal to photograph or videotape anything and anyone on any public property, however filming on private property is subject generally requires permission from the property owner. There may also be restrictions on filming within public buildings, public transportation, and governmental facilities.
Privacy issues also are significant, as you must get a person's permission before filming them if they have a "reasonable expectation of privacy." That term is broadly defined, and varies by jurisdiction, so you are strongly advised to get legal counsel to advise you before you film.
