Jim,
I would like to know what avenues might be open to me to get into adult film acting.  Is there a local production company near San Jose, or the City (SF)?  I have seen lots of ads for women but none for men looking to get into straight porn.

The truth is you would be very lucky if you did find a company looking for male performers, because they are always few and far between.

The biggest problem is that there is the over abundance of men wanting to be male porn stars...the supply is simply much bigger than the demand. Of the thousands who try each year less than a dozen will actually get a shot and only 3 or 4 of those will actually be cut out for the job.

Unfortunately, I am unaware of any companies currently accepting men so I am unable to suggest one to you...
