Question
hello mr.pepper.
im writing to you because i have some questions and i really need help. im trying to open an adult talent agency. i was told that is best if i make a corporation. i just dont know how to make one or which one is right for me. i would prefer something where i dont get taxed too much. also i need to get a buissness license and a federal/tax id number and i dont know where to get them or how. this is all in miami, florida. what do you recommend i do. thank you so much for your time. i really appriciate it.

Answer
An employment agency license is required in Florida, so you would need to review that state's requirements for obtaining a license before you form any business entity.  Check the business licensing section of the Florida state web site for more info.

From a tax perspective, a limited liability company (or LLC) may be your best bet, but corporations offer other advantages, which may or may not be applicable to you based on your circumstances.

I would recommend contacting a local business lawyer who has experience with business formations, who should be able to walk you through the process.
