   Hi, I'm 20 and am in college.  I really want to go into porn but my roommate wants me to be an English professor since English is my major.  (I only picked English just to major in something just to get a degree.)  I'm planning to pursue the adult entertaining business, but it makes me wonder what will happen after.
   I heard that working in porn might ruin my chances of find another job afterward.  I wanted to know if I could work as a college professor after I get out of porn because I doubt I want to be in porn passed 35.  If not, what kinds of jobs would not shun me after being in porn.  Also, what kinds of jobs do most porn stars go into after porn?

The first thing you need understand is that Pictures And Videos Are Forever...especially in the digital age. Once you have appeared in an Adult Film, Adult Magazine, or on an Adult Web Site, those images will be around in one form or another for many years to come. There is a distinct possibility that one or more of these images/videos may one day find their way into the hands of a friend, family member, coworker, employer, or other acquaintance...and that can have very serious repercussions on you future life.

Unfortunately, several individuals have had some very bad experiences when their "porn past" were discovered.

Louisa C. Tuck a teacher's aid in Vineland, New Jersey was nearly fired when it was discovered she had appeared in 3 Adult Films under the name " Crystal Gunns". The matter has yet to be resolved....

Tericka Dye a science teacher and volleyball coach from Paducah, Ky. was fired after it was discovered she had appeared in 6 Adult Films.

Michelle Manhart a USAF Staff Sgt. was relieved of duty, placed under investigation, and demoted when it was discovered she had posed for Playboy. She eventually left the military under under pressure from superiors.

Tamara Hoover, an art teacher in Austin, Tx. was fired after she posted topless pictures of herself self on a myspace page.

Carrie Prejean former 2009 Miss USA became the center of a huge controversy and was nearly stripped of her crown after some topless images of her surfaced on the Internet. Her title was later taken from her for supposedly "unrelated" reasons.


As far as what performs do after they leave porn, That varies allot depending on the person...but most of the more successful Performs will stay with the business in one form or another...

Nina Hartley became a best selling writer and produces videos on the art of sex.

Sharon Mitchell went back to school, earned her Ph.D and now serves as Director of the Adult Industry Medical Health Care Foundation.

Jenna Jameson owns ClubJenna, a very large and extremely profitable Adult production Company.
