Question
I want to get into producing my own adult films but am also interested in a adult website.Since filming in NY is illegal and i will have to either relocate or travel to do my production work in LA,what about an adult website? How do i get one of these and avoid becoming a "mark" by someone who can sell me some high priced pre-packaged website that has been sold many times over?

Answer
I do not recommend purchasing a turn key site - most are overpriced, not well-supported, and are not distinguished very well from hundreds of other similar sites out there.

You may be interested in launching an affiliate site, whereby you drive traffic to producer's sites in exchange for a percentage of sales you refer.  Many reputable producers have affiliate programs that have various forms of tools that will help build your site.

I'd also recommend you take a look at some good discussion board topics for people looking to get into the business.  Here's a good one to start with:  http://www.cozycampus.com/theforum/showthread.php?t=16588
