My girlfriend wants to earn extra money on webcam. She will do nude, masterbate, sex, just about anything on cam. She also wants to start an adult website. We are in Louisiana, I understand that production of some adult material is illigal in Louisiana. How does that apply to webcam for money? Should she use one of the companies that says she can earn up to $150 an hour?
What about taking photos and video of her for the website in louisiana? we take pictures and video now just for ourselves and post to some websites. WHat exactly is illigal in Louisiana? In another post you said the only place it is legal is in California. How would anyone know where it was made? I am not hiring anyone. Its just my Girlfriend and I

It's no big secret that I am NOT a fan of Webcam operations. While there is money to be made in that particular business...it is NEVER as lucrative for the models as the sites often claim.

If you want to work for a Webcam site... I would recommend myfreecams.com. It is, at least in my opinion, the most reputable Webcam site in operation and they actually have a very nice payout. I personally know a young woman who used to work for them and she managed to take care of two young children, pay her mortgage, car payment and all of her other bills by working 25 -30 hours a week with myfreecams.com...and without any help at all from her ex-husband. She now works for me in a "behind the scenes" capacity on one of my production crews.

There are no legal restrictions in Louisiana that would prevent her from working for a webcam site that I am aware of.

As for you legal questions about producing web content in Louisiana, it is true that such productions are illegal there. Louisiana State Law, does not differentiate between paying someone to have sex for the purpose of creating Adult Material and outright prostitution. If you are caught...you go to jail on prostitution and/or pandering charges.

Now that being said...as long as ONLY you and your wife appear in the photos and video, you technically would not be breaking the Law. However, I feel you should definitely seek the Advice of a qualified local Attorney to better advise you of the legalities of that issue.
