Hey I am looking to represent myself in the adult industry and was wondering if you could provide me with some tips. i have recently tried to reach out to agencies but have not gotten a response and was turned down by one. I now realize that if I can represent myself , why not. thanks.

There is an old saying among those in the Legal profession..."He who represents himself has a fool for a client". It's a saying that also rings very true in the Adult Industry as well.

Working with an Agency has a number of benefits...the most beneficial is that Agencies will only do business with established and reputable producers/photographers thus eliminating the safety issues and insuring that you will only be approached by reputable companies. They know who the real companies are and can easily help you avoid problems.

Yes...you can represent yourself as a performer in this business...but it is definitely NOT advisable. You simply do not have the contacts or experience to be able to adequately represent yourself at this point.
