Hello, and thank you for reading this.

I am interested in starting an adult film production company.  I am not sure of the current laws regarding this in my area, but I have been doing my research on that.  Unfortunately, I don't have the equipment or the talent yet.  I am unsure what all equipment I need or where I can order it from.  I also don't know where to find actors and actresses to perform or what the current average rate is per scene.  If you could help me out with any of these I would really appreciate it.  I am located in missouri, so I am aware that I may have to move in order to make these films.

Unfortunately, your efforts to start an Adult Production company in the State of Missouri are ultimately going to prove futile. This is because California is the ONLY place in the United States where it is legal to hire someone to have sex for the purpose of making an Adult Film.

Please keep in mind that California is the ONLY place in the United States where productions of this type are actually legal. Adult film production is legal in California due to a precedent created by a 1988 decision of the California Supreme Court (California vs. Freeman). As a result of that decision, California became the FIRST AND ONLY state where a person can be legally hired to have sex for the purpose of making adult films. However, producers are still required to obtain permits before starting any such production. NO OTHER STATE HAS SUCH A PRECEDENT therefore production in any other State is, and will remain, ILLEGAL!
