Adult Film/Is the industry dead?

Question
I wanted some information on starting an adult production company but before I even inquire about that, I need to know if porn still makes money? With the tube site technology, I'm interested to hear how studios and paysites still make money.

Answer
Brian - the bottom line is yes, porn still makes money - IF you do your homework, are creative, and know how to market and address issues like piracy and the tube sites.

As an example, the bottled water industry makes billions of dollars of year even though you can get water for free.  It's all about creativity and good marketing.

Many studios and paysites have deals directly with the tube sites, since they realize they're not going anywhere.  Cross-branding and mainstream marketing is also vital.
