Hello, I was given your name by Jim Boyd, he suggested I direct my questions to you. I am a recent law school grad looking for information on working in film production and contract negotiation/ talent representation.
My question is two fold: What are the greatest skills needed in someone in these capacities and how would one go about seeking this type of work?

Thanks for your inquiry. Are you looking to get into the legal aspects of the business, production, or representation (or all)? Each aspect has very different approaches.
Whichever way you go, there is nothing better than networking with people in this industry. Attend industry events like AVN, XBiz, Internext, Exxxotica and connect with as many people as you can. This is very much a "who you know" business, so there is no substitute for actually getting out there. Be aggressive, entrepreneurial, and do your homework. Reading the industry discussion boards on sites like xbiz.com, ynot.com, and similar sites is a great idea. Good luck!
